Child safety standards
Duout is a dating app for adults. This page sets out our standards on child safety: who can use Duout, what we don't tolerate, and how to raise a concern.
Adults only
Duout is for people aged 18 and over. You must confirm you're 18 or older to join the waitlist, and profile verification is mandatory for everyone on the app. Accounts belonging to anyone under 18 aren't allowed on Duout.
Zero tolerance for CSAE
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). On Duout, nobody may:
- share, request or link to child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including drawn, edited or AI-generated images;
- sexualise a child in any way, in words or images;
- contact, groom or try to meet a child, or use Duout to try to reach one;
- offer, buy or arrange anything involving the exploitation or trafficking of a child.
This applies to profiles, photos, messages, plans and anything else on Duout, and to behaviour linked to Duout off the app.
How to raise a concern
If a child is in immediate danger, call 112 (India's emergency number).
To report child sexual abuse material or online abuse to the authorities in India, call 1930 or report it at cybercrime.gov.in.
To tell Duout about a concern, see our Support page. The in-app route will be listed here when the app launches.
Please don't share or forward suspected abuse material, even to report it. Describe where you saw it instead.
What we do
Breaking these standards leads to removal from Duout. Our full enforcement process, including how we review reports and how we work with law enforcement, will be published here after legal review.
Contact
For child-safety questions, see our Support page. Our designated child-safety contact will be named here before the app launches.
